Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes

Up and Coming Events

Next Saturday we will be having our Juvenile Presentation for 4-9 year olds boys and all our juvenile camogie girls in the club at 1pm. Parents, Grandparents, family are more than welcome to come along and see our young hurlers and Camogie players collect their medals. The 10-16 year olds will have their presentation night on Tuesday 4^th December. Time TBC. Hope to see ye all next Saturday morning.

Christmas Raffle

The club are running a Christmas Raffle with tickets now on sale. We have some great prizes with first prize, a Golf break at Waterford Gold Coast Resort, Bed and Breakfast, evening meal for two and four rounds of golf. Second Prize, Manor Bar and Grill, €150 voucher to enjoy a meal in one of Waterford’s leading restaurants. Third prize, A Waterford Club and County Season Ticket Value €135. Loads more prizes also on offer. All prizes have been sourced within Waterford. The draw will take place on Sunday 16^th December with guaranteed craic and music from Bag Of Spuds. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5. Please contact any member to purchase tickets. Best of luck to all!

Deise Draw

The last Deise Draw of the year takes place this coming Friday night, 30th November. It is not late to purchase a Deise Draw ticket. Tickets can be bought from any of the promoters or from behind the bar. Please have your money in before the draw. A list of all promoters names can be seen on the notice board in the club. Tickets are €10 per draw. Best of luck to all our ticket holders.

Season Ticket

Waterford GAA will be launching their new Season Ticket initiative soon. There are a number of options available to suit the needs of all supporters at excellent value. The four options available are as follows:

1). The Club Season Ticket will allow you into all club games in Waterford in both hurling and football (Minor – Senior) including County Finals for €85.

2). A Senior Citizen option with the same benefits for a price of €50.

3). Club and County Season Ticket which includes Waterford GAA Club Season Ticket for reduced price of €75 as an add on to the GAA Season Ticket purchased on www.gaa.ie. This would include admission to all Allianz League games in your selected code i.e. Hurling or Football and first round of championship tickets in code of choice and all Waterford club games as outlined above.

4). The Priomh Port Lairge option. This includes two Waterford GAA club season tickets and option of buying two All Ireland Football & Hurling tickets. The price of this option is €500.

Last Man Standing

The new Last Man Standing Competition has started on Saturday 24^th November last. Some have lost their first life. Remember, next one your out. I have an updated Last Man Standing table on the website for you. Get your team into Tina by next Thursday night at the latest. Its as easy as texting your name and number if you don’t want to miss out on a game Juvenile-Senior or know when there’s a change of venue, or events happening in the club etc.

Juvenile Training Times

The following are the times and venues are for juvenile hurling training:

5 to 7 year olds Children born in 2005, 2006 & 2007 takes place at 12 Noon every Saturday on the All-Weather Astro-Turf Pitch at the Club Grounds.

Juvenile Camogie Training also takes place on Saturdays at 12 noon on The All-Weather Astro-Turf Pitch at the Club Grounds.

8 & 9 year olds, Boys born in 2003 and 2004 takes place from 11am-12pm on Saturdays at the Club field.

10 & 11 year old boys takes place on a Tuesday nights at 6pm-7:15pm on the pitch.

Looking to get your child involved in sport or meet new friends. Then bring them along to the correct age group or contact Juvenile Chairman Peter Walsh for more information. Training is 100% free and hurleys and helmets can be supplied to those who need them. Best of luck to all the children and coaches for 2012!!

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
