Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes
Junior Football Championship
Our Junior Footballers continued their winning streak with a solid victory over Ballyduff Lower last Friday night in Mount Sion. The first half was a lower scoring affair with Sion leading at half time by 0-4 to 0-0 thanks to points from Michael Frisby, Ian Power and Austin Gleeson.
Sion started the second half where they left off with Jordan Broaders racing through the Ballyduff defence to score the first goal of the match. Ballyduff quickly responded with two pointed frees. A further point from Jordan left Sion leading by 7 points going into the final 10 minutes of the game. With Sion’s defence holding strong, a second goal for Sion from Ruari Sheridan gave Sion a comfortable lead to finish the game winners 2-7 to 0-6. Well done lads, still top of the table.Deise Draw
