Club AGM
Today (Sunday) saw a well attended AGM for 2013 held in the centre , Senior manager Anthony Kirwan said a few words thanking everyone for their effort and commitment this year in what was a challenging season for both Senior and Intermediate teams and hopefully that we can go on and compete for more honours in 2014.
Juvenile chairman Michael Flanagan thanked his predecessor Peter Walsh for the huge work he’s done over the past ten years and the results are being seen with many of our young hurlers having come up through the ranks now playing senior .
Life President Dickie Roche said he was honoured to be following his late friends Frankie Walsh and Pat Fanning in the role and he was available to help in any way he can.
Gary Cunningham paid special tribute to Seamie as he steps down from his secretary’s position and wished him well in his new role in the Eastern Board.
Chairman Peter Walsh thanked all his fellow committee members for all the help they gave him in his first year in the role , he paid special tribute to Sean O Dwyer for all the work he has done over the years as he steps down from the committee. He stressed the importance of coaches working hard with the juveniles and getting the work done at that level and in time the results will come , he praised the positivity of our Senior Hurlers and challenged every member of the club to do their best to bring the club to the next level , to finish he thanked everyone for their effort this year and looked forward to a good 2014.

Patrick Bowe had a motion approved that we introduce a Junior Hurler of the Year , Intermediate Hurler of the Year and a Footballer of the Year award .

A special presentation was made to Austin Gleeson and Sean Power for their achievement as part of the team who won the Minor All Ireland this year .
The meeting concluded with a rendition of Amhran Na BhFáinn led by Sean O Dwyer .
Christmas Raffle
The club are running their winter fundraiser, a Christmas Raffle, and we have some very interesting prizes. The draw will take place in Mount Sion GAA Club on Sunday 22nd December at 5:30pm, where we will have live music. Tickets are on sale now. €2 per ticket or three tickets for €5. You can contact any member of the Executive, or club member or text Owen Sauvage on 087-9706387 if you wish to buy tickets. All money raised goes to Mount Sion GAA Club.The following are our prizes.
1). 2 Tickets to the All Ireland Hurling Final plus €300 spending money.
2). 2 Tickets to Munster v Edinburgh, Thomond Park on 17th – 19th January plus €200 spending money.
3). 2 Tickets to Tramore Race Meeting, New Years Day plus €100 spending money.
Awards Night
Its the turn of our 13 to 16 year olds Juvenile section of the club to have their awards night this Monday the 9th of December at 7pm , it’d be great to see a good turnout for this hard working group of lads .

Deise Draw
This years Deise Draw has concluded The club executive wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all those who have supported the draw over the last year. 70% of the money goes directly to the club. Our normal internal draw will take place on Sunday 22nd December. Hope to see all our Deise Drawers there!
