Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes

Junior Hurling

This week the fixtures for the Junior Hurling Championship were finalised with the same group system as last year where we will play each team in our group home and away , this year we’ve been grouped with Passage , Ballygunner , Clonea ,De La Salle and Roanmore with our first game being at home to Passage on April 25 .May will be a very busy month for our Juniors as we have a match every week in that month , so we’ll need all our blend of youth and experience to get us through the schedule of matches  . Intermediate Hurling and Football

We were also given the finalised fixtures for the Intermediate Football and Hurling for this year , the footballers are first out on April 6 against Bunmahon while the hurlers are first out against Ballygunner on May 4 ,some venues and times have yet to be decided on , full fixture lists can be found on the Intermediate pages on the website .

National Hurling League

Well done to Stephen Roche who made his competitive debut for the Waterford Senior Hurling team last Saturday night in the match against Tipperary in Thurles , pity about the result but hopefully the lads can turn it around against Galway on Sunday in Walsh park .

Last Man Standing

There was no Last Man Standing  this week due to the FA Cup weekend , it returns next week so if you’re still in it make sure to get your team into Tina by Thursday .

Membership

Thanks to everyone who has paid their membership so far , if you still have’nt done so we need to get it in as soon as possible as the closing date is coming in fast , all rates are on the membership page on the website or you can contact Club Registrar Paul Fanning .

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
