Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Birthday Greetings

Congratulations to Stephen Greene who celebrated his 70th birthday with a party for family and friends in the club on Saturday last, best wishes to Stephen from everyone in the club and no better man to put out all those candles !

Winning Streak

Best wishes to Anne Hammond whose name was pulled out of the hat to appear on TV game show Winning Streak next week, there’ll be great excitement for the coming week and look out for some familiar faces in the crowd !

Under 21s

After a long wait the Under 21 Championship gets underway on Saturday with the Quarter Final against Roanmore  , best of luck to the team and their mentors.

Strictly Gone Dancing

Put November 8th in your diary as that’s the date of Strictly Gone Dancing  where some well known twinkle toes in the club get their dancing shoes on and take to the stage to compete against St Saviours in a joint fundraiser in the Tower Hotel, this promises to be a brilliant night and details on tickets etc will be available soon !

Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing resumed  this week and we lost another few players , see how our remaining players are doing by checking the updated table on the website!

Deise Draw

October’s draw takes place in the club on Halloween and hopefully there’ll be some treats for our members on the night! !Tickets are still available for the next draws from Josie Evans or from the bar. Please contact Josie Evans (087-0686700) to join and more importantly to make sure you are in with a chance to scoop the top prize of €10,000!!! . Tickets are €10 per month for nine months. You can either pay up front or per month by leaving the money behind the bar. 70% of the money raised will go directly back to Mount Sion. Best of luck to all our ticketholders!

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
