Seriously Gone Dancing
What a night in the Tower on Saturday last for the inaugural Seriously Gone Dancing event run in conjunction with St Saviours, after all the weeks of hard work a brilliant night was had by all and a special thanks to everyone who helped out with the dancers to get them looking and moving so well on the night !Well done to Stephen Greene and Pamela Jacob who were the winners against some very strong opposition, people are already talking about next year and who’s going to take part but they’ll have a hard act to follow after this years high standards !Under 15s
The Under 15s finally got to play Ballygunner on Saturday last in the Eastern Semi Final in the club, after a start which saw the visitors take the lead Sion burst into life just before half time with three goals inside a couple of minutes two from Jack Meaney and one from Johnny Flynn, points from Johnny Flynn and Jordan Roche saw Sion go into the break 3-05 to 0-06 ahead, In the second half the in form Flynn got 1-1 with further points coming from Evan McGrath, Alan Kirwan and Jack Meaney to finish the game on a scoreline of 4-12 to 0-09 , well done lads on a great display and best of luck in the Eastern Final , details which will be posted up when they come available.Club Mass
The annual club mass for deceased members will take place in the Mount Sion Chapel Barrack Street on Thursday 20th November at 6.30pm. All are welcome and please make an effort to attend if at all possible.New Years Eve Dinner Dance
Following the success of the dancing the next big event on the Mount Sion social calendar is the New Years dinner dance which is being held in the club, music is being provided by No Hot Ashes and tables are selling fast so book your place behind the bar , tickets are 30 euro.AGM
Its that time of the year again with the Annual General Meeting taking place on Sunday 7th December 2014 at 3pm in the club. Members will have received Nomination and Motion forms from Secretary Owen Sauvage who will have to have them back before November 29th. Copies have been left behind the bar for anyone without access to a printer.
