Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Waterford GAA Awards

Well done to the organising committee of the Ken McGrath All Star Challenge which was held in the summer and who were announced as winners of the Special Merit award in the Waterford GAA awards this week, the award is well earned in recognition of all the hard work done by this committee in the lead up to the game , more to follow in the coming weeks on the presentation, also best of luck to Senior Hurler Austin Gleeson who has been nominated in the Hurler of the Year category.

Club Mass

The  annual Club Mass for remembering deceased members take place on Thursday 20th November at 6.30pm in the Brother Rice chapel in Barrack Street.This is a long standing tradition in the club and we would ask that as many members as possible attend.

New Years Eve Dinner Dance

Following the success of the dancing event last week the next big event on the Mount Sion social calendar is the New Years dinner dance which is being held in the club, music is being provided by No Hot Ashes and tables are selling fast so book your place behind the bar , tickets are 30 euro.

AGM

The Annual General Meeting  takes place on Sunday 7th December 2014 at 3pm in the club. Members will have received Nomination and Motion forms from Secretary Owen Sauvage who will have to have them back  before November 29th. Copies have been left behind the bar for anyone without access to a printer.

Deise Draw

There are two more draws left in this years Deise draw and hopefully we’ll have some winners before Christmas !.Tickets are still available for the next draws from Josie Evans or from the bar. Please contact Josie Evans (087-0686700) to join and more importantly to make sure you are in with a chance to scoop the top prize of €10,000!!! . Tickets are €10 per month for nine months. You can either pay up front or per month by leaving the money behind the bar. 70% of the money raised will go directly back to Mount Sion. Best of luck to all our ticketholders!

Fixtures

Just a couple of outstanding underage games left on the calendar for 2014 , full details of the fixtures will be posted on Twitter and Facebook when they are available.

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
