A.G.M.
The Annual General Meeting of the club took place on Sunday last and as usual there was a large attendance, it was quite a busy year and there were many items up for discussion, there were comprehensive reports from Secretary Owen Sauvage and Treasurer Tom Power, tributes were paid to Anthony Kirwan who was stepping down as Senior Manager after bringing the Seniors to their first County Final in eight years while Sion legend Ken McGrath takes on the challenge for 2015 and promised to give it his all next yearFollowing on was the nomination of Club Officers and the Executive

Honorary Life President
The Executive are delighted to announce that Phil Fanning will be our new Honorary Life President. Phil has been involved in Mount Sion ever since he was old enough to hold a hurley and now follows in the footsteps of his late father Pat. Phil spoke of his honour in accepting the role and that it was also tinged with sadness coming with the sad passing of Dickie Roche earlier this year. Christmas Raffle
By now everyone should have received tickets for this year’s raffle which is being run in conjunction with the primary school and if anyone needs more they’re available at the bar or in the school, the draw takes place on Sunday the 21st of December and full details of the prizes are up on the page on the website.Medal Presentations
Our Juvenile medal presentations take place next week with the Under 4 to 10s taking place on Saturday at 1.30 and the Under 11 to 16s going ahead on Monday the 15th at 7.30 , all are welcome to attend.Deise Draw
There is one more Deise draw left before Christmas where hopefully some of our members might be getting an early present !Tickets are still available for the final draw of the year from Josie Evans or from the bar. Please contact Josie Evans (087-0686700) to join and more importantly to make sure you are in with a chance to scoop the top prize of €10,000!!! . Tickets are €10 per month for nine months. You can either pay up front or per month by leaving the money behind the bar. 70% of the money raised will go directly back to Mount Sion. Tables are still available for the New Years Eve Dinner dance being held in the club so why not get together with friends and family for what promises to be a great way to ring in 2015, please note tickets need to be paid for by December 16th and if people can’t attend please let Tina know as soon as possible ,music is by No Hot Ashes and tickets priced at 30 euro are available behind the bar.Michael Meehan
Condolences to the family of Michael Meehan who died recently aged 90, he was father to Jerry and Paddy. Michael was involved with the club training teams and was a county minor selector ,Michael won a County Senior Hurling Medal circa 1950 with Clonea.Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam.

The Annual Gents Quiz will take place on Stephen’s Day at 3.30pm, this is a seasonal tradition in the club and will hopefully be well attended as usual.Upcoming Events
