Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Deise Draw

The first Deise Draw of 2015 takes place on Friday night, this year’s draw runs over eight months with a top prize of €10,000 and other great cash prizes. Tickets cost €10 a month with the club keeping 70% of the tickets sold. I.e. €7 a ticket.This year we are delighted to announce that Elverys Sports are the Offical Retail Partner to Waterford GAA. A 15% Discount Voucher will be available, on request through the club, to all members of the Déise Draw. Please leave money and names at bar or contact draw co-ordinator Josie Evans if you’d like to support our biggest yearly fundraiser.

Parade

We had another great turnout this year in the St Patrick’s day parade with so many of our young players marching and doing their families and club proud, this year was also made special with club legend Tony Browne being chosen as the Grand Marshall and it made the boys and girls  day to see Tony on the viewing stand when they marched past .

National League

Well done to the Waterford Senior Hurlers on their return to Division 1A of the National Hurling League on Sunday after their excellent victory over Wexford and setting up a home quarter final against Galway in Walsh Park next Sunday.

Fixtures

Sargent Cup Vs Fourmilewater in Kilmacthomas on Friday 27th March at 8pm

Intermediate Football Championship Vs Portlaw in Dunhill on Saturday 28th March at 5pm.

Membership

We’re coming towards the end of March and membership needs to be paid as soon as possible, thanks to everyone who has paid up so far, fees can be paid behind the bar as usual and need to be sent in as soon as possible, all membership rates are available on the membership page on the club website or you can contact Club Registrar Paul Fanning .

Last Man Standing

Only three left in the Last Man Standing and things are starting to get tense, we could have a winner soon ! Don’t forget to have your team into Tina by Thursday and the updated table can be checked out on the website !

Events

We now have the full range of sports channels available in the bar with BT Sports the latest addition to the range, so from GAA to the Premier League and Six Nations rugby why not call up and enjoy the excitement  in the comfortable and warm surroundings of our club bar!

We have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc. We can also cater for smaller parties in our lounge. Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for everyone. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All are welcome both members and non-members !
