The Intermediates faced Butlerstown in the second round of the Championship on Friday night last in Walsh Park missing several members of the team that drew with Portlaw the previous week, Dermot O Loughlin opened the scoring with a well placed strike followed by veteran campaigner Pappy Bowe and frees from Cian O Regan to put Sion up by three points, Butlerstown responded well scoring 1-04 without reply though to go into the break 1-06 to 0-05 ahead. As in the first half Dermot got the opening score after the break but Butlerstown were growing in confidence and aided by a fortunate goal they pulled ahead with frees from Michael Frisby and Cian O Regan being Sion’s main threat, towards the end the tenacious Craig Sauvage pointed from play with another Pappy point finishing the scoring for Sion, final score Cnoc Sion 0-14 Butlerstown 2-16, next game is against St Saviours on June 4th.

Under 14 Feile
Having gotten through to the final in Walsh park with good wins over An Gaeltacht and Clonea the Under 14s played the Feile final on Wednesday night against Brickey Rangers , the boys started the game very well and with goals from Sean Doocey and Cian O Grady went went into the break leading by a point 2-03 to 2-02.Following the break though Brickeys showed why they were favourites and pulled ahead to win the game on a scoreline of 5-06 to 2-04 ,by qualifying for the final the lads will now to the Feile in Ulster in June and will no doubt represent heir club and families with great pride.
Under 10’s
The Under 10’s made the long journey to Ballyduff Upper for their tournament and they were in a very strong group from the outset with Fermoy , Carrigtohil and Bride Rovers all from East Cork . We started very cold against Carrigtohil in our first match losing out by a couple of points , after that we played against last year’s winners Bride Rovers and played some fantastic hurling to come out winners by 4 points , we then went into our last game v Fermoy who were unbeaten knowing a win was needed to qualify for next Saturday’s semi finals, unfortunately we came up short after a few near misses near the end it ended in a draw .The coaches were very proud of this young team who put in a huge effort for the last two games .
Squad for the tournament: Davin Marshall ,Lee Flanagan, Conor Walsh, Cormac Dunphy, Jack Cowman, Jack Barrett, Killian Dundan, Jack Marks, Alex Walsh, Adam Regan, Adam Cummins, Sean Reilly, Jared O Keeffe ,Ross Byrne and Dylan Ryan.
