The Seniors had their first outing in a number of weeks as they made the trip to the Nire Valley to take on Fourmilewater in the Senior League/Sargent Cup, boosted by the return of a number of players from injury Sion made the brighter start to the game with points from the busy Owen Whelan , Martin F O’Neill, Evan Curran and Sean Ryan giving a three point cushion at the break, half time score Cnoc Sion 0-09 Fourmilewater 0-06. After the restart it was all Sion and the hard work in front of goal was rewarded when Ian Galgey broke free to bury the ball to the back of the net giving a six point lead to the Monastery men , as the half wore on Fourmilewater tried to stage a comeback but the Sion backs held firm and with the experienced forwards hitting form the result was never in doubt , final score Cnoc Sion 1-17 Fourmilewater 0-16.Junior Hurling Championship

Erin’s Own 1-12
The Juniors were back in action on Friday night as they took on Erin’s Own in the club and Pappy’s charges showed no signs of rustiness as they comprehensively beat the Poleberry men scoring six goals in the process again, best on the night for Sion were Eric Hoban and Aaron Dempsey. Next game is on Friday 22nd in the club against Passage.E.G.M.
An EGM will take place in the Club on Tuesday 26 July at 6.30pm to elect a new Club Trustee to replace the late Seamus Power. This is an important process and we would ask as many members as possible to attend.Kellogg’s Cul Camps
There’s only a week to go to this year’s Kelloggs Cul Camp taking place in the club from 25th to 29th July, each child receives free Kellogg’s GAA gear and backpack, you can pay on the day and also book in advance on Kelloggs Cul Camps 2016, this is always a great week in the club and we look forward to seeing everyone up there !
Deise Draw
June’s Deise Draw took place in Flynn’s Bar Ferrybank recently and Sion had their first two winners of the year, well done to Hannah Power and Collette Phelan who won €200 each.This is one of the main fundraisers for the club and we would encourage as many members and their families as possible to participate, as well as helping your club you are also in a great draw with many good prizes on offer. All Ireland Quarter Final
Best wishes to everyone involved in the All Ireland Quarter Final against Wexford on Sunday next, also well done to Sean Ryan and Austin who were involved in the Munster Under 21 victory against Clare last week.
