Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Juvenile Presentation

The Juvenile Presentations took place on Saturday last and a great crowd of our young players attended with their families, also for the first time in many years our young Camogie players were present to recieve their medals and they are already planning for a big year in 2018, the young players and most improved players were also given out while the 2017 recipient of the Mick Healy award was P.J. Fanning, thanks to everyone who atteneded and to Austin and Stephen who helped present the awards and to the ladies who once again did great work with the catering.

Charity Swim

The annual Billy Galgey Memorial Christmas Day swim takes place this year at 11.15 am from the slip in Tramore, all members are welcome to take part in this fun event and help raise some funds for the juvenile club, Sponsorship cards are available from Paul Galgey who will also be rounding up some hardy souls to take the plunge on Christmas morning !

A.G.M.

The Annual General meeting of the club takes place in the clubhouse on Sunday 10th December at 2pm and we look forward to seeing as many members as possible there on the day.

Deise Draw

An in-house draw for all paid up Deise Draw members will take place on Sunday December 10^th after our AGM. The prizes are as follows,

1^st. €100 cash, 2^nd. €50 cash, 3^rd. €50 cash, 4^th. €25 meat voucher, 5^th. €25 meat voucher, 6^th. €25 meat voucher, 7^th €25 meat voucher, 8^th. Bottle of Brandy, 9^th. Bottle of Whiskey, 10^th Bottle of Whiskey

Any outstanding money for the draw can be left behind the bar for the attention of Kenny Stafford. Once again we’d like to thank you for your continued support throughout the year and wish you all a very Happy Christmas.

 

New Years Eve Party

Details of our New Years Eve party are now available – 3 Course meal + 2 drinks, Music by Jam Tarts, Tickets €50 each, deposits now being taken behind bar, non-refundable deposit of €20 per ticket must be paid by 30^th November. A weekly raffle will take place starting on Sunday 15^th October through to 17^th December with the weekly winner receiving 2 tickets for the New Year’s Eve Party, tickets will cost €2 each, contact Tina or behind the bar for tickets.

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs. If you have a family event coming up we can cater for all size parties from small private events to large gatherings, we have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc, please contact our Bar Manager Michael Ryan for more information on 051-372648 or call up and see him

For a post match drink or chat or to watch the latest sporting event on the big screen we have all the Sports channels available in our spacious bar where on Thursday nights it’s Darts night, on Fridays we have cards which are open to all and there are great prizes on offer, check out our website for more info and photos.
