Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

20k Drop

What a night! The 20k Drop took place on Saturday night last and it’s fair to say people will be talking about it for a long time to come, well done to all our winners on the night and a special thanks must go to our hard working committee who as well as getting our sponsors on board also helped in the planning of the night along with our partners Pallas marketing ensuring it was the success it became, as this was our major fundraiser for 2018 we’d like to thank all our members and friends for coming on the night and also to our sponsors without whom it wouldn’t happen and as always we ask you to support our sponsors whenever possible!

National League

With Waterford finally getting off the mark in Cork on Sunday last it’s back to Walsh park on next weekend with Clare providing the opposition, as in the previous games Mount Sion are putting on refreshments for patrons and there will also be ample parking in the club grounds, best of luck to everyone involved in the game and we look forward to seeing everyone on the day.

Minor Football Championship V Ferrybank in Ferrybank on Sunday 4th March at 11.30am.

Membership

It’s that time of year again when membership comes up for renewal, there have been some changes to our membership rates for 2018 but we are still very competitive, we would ask all our members to make the effort to pay as soon as they can.

Ladies Football

Ladies football is back again for 2018, training takes place on the astroturf on Sundays 11-12 for all girls aged 13 and older! We’re delighted to see some new players and a few more would be most welcome !

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs. If you have a family event coming up we can cater for all size parties from small private events to large gatherings, we have a spacious function room with private bar available for hire for all occasions including Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Confirmations, Communions, etc, please contact our Bar Manager Michael Ryan for more information on 051-372648 or call up and see him

Coming up in 2018 we have a great new programme of entertainment taking place in the club with Tina and her committee working hard to bring a variety of acts to the club, more details to follow, check out our website for more info and photos.
