Senior League
The Seniors made a welcome return to winning ways on Saturday evening last as they made the long journey to Ballymacerbery coming away with a 2-12 to 1-09 victory over Fourmilewater, some good performances from the younger players going into the next round of the Championship which is coming up in July.Camogie
There was a big game in the club on Tuesday night last as our Under 12 girls played their first championship game in Mount Sion against Gaultier, in a thrilling second half the girls fought back hard to get a fantastic win in front of a good crowd, well done to all girls and coaches team -Ann Kennedy, Mia Cleere, Ava Mulrooney, Abbie O’Meara, Kayla Cashman, Lauren O Sullivan, Kayleigh McGrath, Sophie Walsh, Laura Deegan, Kayleigh O’Connell, Rhea Murtagh Stafford, Ava Goodison Flynn, Ashlee Cummins & Caitlin Cox. Our Under 8’s played a blitz in Ferrybank on Saturday morning last, in blistering hot conditions they had fantastic wins against both St Anne’s and hosts Ferrybank, well done to all involved ,team -Bella Keogh, Lilly Ellen Costello ,Lily May Browne, Tess Roberts, Sophie Tubbritt, Beth Ryan, Sarah O’Farrell, Zara O’Byrne, Abbie O’Reilly, Carrie Ann Pay, Alana Kelly Robinson, Leah Coughlan, Aine Flynn & Mollie Ryan.Paddy Murphy Tournament
The second annual Paddy “Moremiles” Murphy tournament for Under 15’s takes place in the club on Saturday 30th June, judging from the standard set in 2017 this promises to a great day’s hurling, more details on teams and matches to follow over the coming weeks.Entertainment
There promises to be a beautiful noise in the club on Saturday night June 16th when we say hello again to the Neil Diamond tribute act, don’t be a solitary man (or woman) and get up to the club to hear all the songs performed by this fantastic performer who will have the place rocking to all the classics, tickets are available from behind the bar or from Tina and her committee.Under 12 City League
Our Under 12’s pulled off an amazing comeback against Ballygunner in the City League on Wednesday night last, the lads fought back from a seven point deficit at half time to win by a point final score 4-5 to 3-07, well done to all involved on a marvellous second half display.Deise Draw
The Deise draw for 2018 is now up and running and we had two winners in the first draw, tickets are still available from all the usual sources, next draw takes place in Stradbally on 27th June and hopefully we’ll have some more winners.Fixtures
