Mount Sion GAA Club Notes

Under 12 Hurling

In a repeat of last year’s final the Under 12’s took on Ballygunner in the Under 12 City League final in Walsh Park on Sunday last, in a frenetic first ten minutes both teams raised green flags with Evan Flanagan and Tommy Kennedy on target for Sion, half time score Cnoc Sion 2-03 Ballygunner 3-04, an early second half goal blitz from Ballygunner changed the game and they ran out comfortable winners in the end, well done to all involved in the campaign.

Congratulations

Huge congratulations to Kenny Stafford and Michelle Murtagh who were married this week, both Kenny and Michelle are involved in many different areas in the club and we wish them and their family all the best for the future!

Cul Camps

The annual GAA Cul Camps take place in Mount Sion this year from Monday July 22nd to 26th, for more details regarding bookings etc please see the website or contact our club co-ordinator Peter Walsh.

 

GAA World Games

The GAA World games are coming to Waterford at the end of July and Mount Sion are proud to be hosting  the Heartland Division teams, as part of this we will be holding a cultural evening for our guests in the club on Tuesday July 30th, music will be from Three for the Road and all are welcome.

Entertainment

Some nights of entertainment coming up in the club, on Saturday July 27th we have Dick & Dave providing the tunes and on Sunday July 28th  following the senior game Reverb will be on from 6-8pm.

Deise Draw

July’s Deise draw takes place this week and tickets are still available for the draws from all the usual outlets.

Mount Sion Clubhouse

Our club house is the perfect venue for all your needs.
