Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Deise Draw
The first Deise Draw of 2020 was held up in the club on Wednesday last and it was a good night for the club with two winners and the co-ordinators prize, well done to Mary Wall who won €500 and Eoin Fanning who won €100 and to our hard working co-ordinator Kenny Stafford who won €50, tickets are still available for the next draws from Kenny and all the usual sources.
Under 11 Hurling
As the Hurling season draws to a close our Under 11’s were one of the last teams in action as they took on Roanmore in the club in the City League final on Sunday morning last, the boys played out of their skin and ran out worthy winners on the day, well done to all the boys and their coaches on a great few matches this year and hopefully we’ll see a lot more of them in 2021!Junior Football
The Junior Footballers got off to winning ways against Ferrybank on Friday last with the scoreline of 1-12 to 0-05 in Sion’s favour setting out a clear marker for the season, next game is against Roanmore in the club on Friday night.Camogie

Last Man Standing
There will be a new Last Man Standing for the club for the premier league season which starts on September 12th. Obviously given the current climate, any fundraiser for the club is vitally important so we’re asking again if players/members could enter and also get a few other people to take part. It’s €10 to enter and €500 for the winner. Kenny Stafford will be sending out the fixtures to choose from each week by text/Facebook/Twitter. Normal Last Man Standing rules apply and can be seen on the page on the club website.
All entries to be sent to Kenny Stafford on 0876161222.
Development
We would ask those that have not yet paid the annual membership of €150 which includes entry in to the Deise Draw to do so please. We would ask as many members as possible to join the Development Donation scheme, at this current time our only revenue is the scheme and membership. Anyone wishing to pay membership or join the Donation Scheme please contact any committee member.
