Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Junior Football
Cnoc Sion 0-11
Roanmore 1-10
The Junior A Footballers played the Eastern Final on a once again pristine Walsh Park pitch against Roanmore on Sunday last, Sion started well scoring two points in the opening minutes with Martin F. O’Neill a big influence on the play in those early stages, Roanmore though fought back and got what proved to be decisive goal midway through the half before a couple of late points put Sion up by the minimum at the break, half time score Cnoc Sion 0-08 Roanmore 1-04, the second half was tense affair with both sides probing and misses proving to be costly, eventually at the end Roanmore just edged it by two points to go through to next week’s County final against Kilrossanty, thanks to everyone for getting involved and keeping the proud Football tradition in the club going.John Keane Tournament
