Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior Hurling Championship
Cnoc Sion 1-19
De La Salle 2-12
The Senior Hurling Championship semi final took place on Sunday last with De La Salle providing the opposition, at stake was a chance to take on County champions Ballygunner for the News and Star trophy, a cagey first half with both sides missing chances saw Sion just edge it 0-09 to 0-06 courtesy of two late Alan Kirwan points which put daylight between the teams, Sion started with more intent in the second half and when Martin O’Neill raised the green flag early on it put them firmly in the driving seat, De La Salle though kept the pressure on getting two goals in the process before Sion rallied with late points to seal their place in their first final since 2014, well done to all involved and best of luck from everyone in Mount Sion for next Sunday!Junior B Hurling
The Junior B’s took on Dunhill in the Eastern Final on Thursday last in the SETU arena, while they gave it their all on the night it just wasn’t enough as Dunhill ran out winners by a goal, well done to all involved for a great season, Jonathon and his team were delighted with the progress of the younger players this year and would like to thank everyone who helped out and supported the Juniors this year.Special General Meeting
