Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Intermediate Football
It was straight back to action for many of our players on Sunday last as they togged out for the Intermediate Football Championship against De La Salle in Walsh Park, the step up in rank from Junior wasn’t an issue as they ran out comfortable winners on the day, well done to all involved showing the commitment to help keep football going in the club.Danny Bowe Tournament
This Saturday saw another successful Danny Bowe tournament run in the club. Huge thanks to our sponsors Fidel Astro, Michael Grant Physical & Cranial Therapy, Trade Electric Group & City Electrical Factors. Each and every year you are so generous to us and we are so grateful. Thanks to our visiting teams Ballyduff Lower Camogie, Tramore Camogie, St Cronan’s Camogie Roscrea & St Anne’s Camogie Club. A great battle was had by all our teams with St Anne’s coming out on top for the Under 15 final. Tramore won the shield final Under 10 and Ballyduff Lower were deserving champions of our Under 10 trophy final.
Thanks to Niamh Rockett, former captain of the Waterford camogie team for taking time out of her busy schedule to do the medal presentations. Thanks to the referees and our fabulous piper who made the day even more special with his beautiful music.
Huge thanks to the parents who continue to bring their little ladies back to training each week and have chosen Mount Sion to be their club, thank you so much to the Bowe family for trusting us to run this memorial event for Danny. It means so much to us, the club and Waterford Camogie. We will continue to make you and Danny Bowe proud .
