Gaelic for Mothers and Others
After months of hard training, our Gaelic Football4Mothers & Others group played their very first blitz this morning.
A few of the girls rolled back the years, while for some it was their very first Gaelic Games match.
A big well done to all, this initiative started back earlier on in the year and
to their credit the group have continued to train every Wednesday.
A special mention to Amy O Sullivan for all her time and effort with this project. Well done to all the girls for stepping out on the pitch.
A big thank you to our lovely host club Ferrybank GAA Club. Their hospitality was fantastic, the girls had great games with Ferrybank, Slieverue and the Rower Inistioge.
Well done to all the players from all the clubs.
No doubt this morning will have whetted the appetite for more blitzes for the group!
Training will continue on Wednesday at 8-9 on the Mount Sion GAA astro turf.
