Under 15 Hurling
Camogie
It was a busy weekend for Camogie, our Under 13 girls played St Mollerans in Championship in awful conditions on Saturday morning and did well coming out with a good win..Our Under 15 girls were beaten by a very strong Butlerstown on Sunday morning, a great game was had by the two sides regardless of score line.
Our Under 8 & 10 girls had their very last blitz of the year in the SETU arena on Sunday afternoon, over 50 of our girls participated making up 4 teams, it was a very proud day for our club with the biggest numbers there. Well done to all involved and Waterford camogie county board for the organisation.

It was honours even in the third round of the Junior ‘C’ Football Championship.
Conditions made for a low scoring encounter, so it came as no surprise that the match was littered with errors.
Josh Fanning opened the scoring for the Monastery outfit, followed up with a point by his midfield partner Ned Power. Sion began to create a lot of chances however their shooting was wayward , Gavin Carroll added another white flag to leave Mount Sion 3 to 1 ahead at the interval
In the second half playing with the breeze Butlerstown quickly drew level. Mount Sion were now on the back foot with some heroic defending by the backs and the goalie Jess keeping the scores level.
A brace of points by Minor hurling coach, Paddy McGrath, gave the home team a small bit of a cushion before Butlerstown responded with a fantastic point from out the field. Both teams coughed up a lot of possession in the dying minutes of the game, players were out on their feet and cramp was setting in when to everyone’s relief referee Eoin Morrissey(Erins Own) blew the full time whistle.
Well done to both sets of players.
We play our last group game against Gaultier in two weeks time.
