Under 20B County Hurling Final

Cois Bride 0-09

The Under 20B County final took place in Walsh Park on Saturday last with Cois Bride providing the opposition, Sion had the strong wind against them in the first half but that didn’t deter them from going 1-01 ahead early on, these proved to be their only scores of this half as Cois Bride took full advantage of the conditions to rack up an 0-08 to 1-01 scoreline at the break, Sion needed to get back into the game quickly in the second half and it took a few minutes but led by Lee Flanagan’s accuracy from frees they were able to overcome the deficit with points to spare at the end to be crowned County Champions, well done to all involved in the campaign from the players to the mentors and everyone involved with them.

 

Foodbank Collection

Thanks to everyone who made this year’s Foodbank Collection such a success again this year, over the two collection days there was a great amount of food donated, thanks to our Heathy Club co-ordinator Michelle Murtagh Stafford for all the hard work in organising the collection.

 

12 Days of Christmas

The club are running the Annual ’12 draws of Christmas’. 12 euro entry with 100 euro winner for each of the 12 days. Each draw will be streamed live on our Facebook channel. First draw is this Tuesday 12th December. Thanks to everyone who has purchased tickets so far and they are still available through the Club Force website.

Sensory Santa Visit

Mount Sion GAA are delighted to have a Sensory Santa experience in our GAA club on 23rd December for children with autism and additional sensory needs. Visit Santa without the queues.
