Intermediate Football

Bunmahon 2-06

A pulsating Intermediate Football tie took place in Dunhill on Sunday last when Sion took on Bunmahon with a semi final place at stake, Sion were the better team for the first half and were well worth their lead at half time, as the second half wore on they just couldn’t get away from the Copper Coast men and a last gasp penalty winner saw Bunmahon break Sion hearts winning by the bare minimum, a disappointing end to the campaign for Galo and the lads but they will be back again next year.

Danny Bowe Tournament

We had another fantastic day on Saturday when the Camogie club hosted the annual Danny Bowe Tournament in memory of a great Mount Sion Hurling and Camogie man, a huge amount of work went into organising the day and we would like to thank everyone who helped out, our visiting teams who helped make it so special, our players and their families and of course the Bowe family for all their help and support every year.

Under 15’s

Best of luck to our Under 15’s as they take on Ballygunner in the County Final in SETU on Monday night at 7-30, all support welcome.

Deise Draw

The fourth Deise draw of 2024 took place on WLR on Friday last and this time the club had two winners, well done to Peter Walsh who won €500 and to Sean Darmody who won €250, tickets for the next draws are available from all the usual sources.
