What a great day in the club on Sunday for the Munster Championship game versus Clare in Walsh Park,a great result from the Deise against the All Ireland champions, a lot of hard work went into one of the club’s busiest days from helping with parking and getting everything ready on the day, thanks to everyone who helped out and we go again next Saturday when Limerick are the visitors to the same venue for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Our Under 9’s hosted a festival of hurling on Saturday morning in the club, we welcomed teams from Naomh Eanna, Kilmacow, Mooncoin, Ferrybank, De La Salle, Roanmore, Lismore, St. Mary’s and St. Saviours.

All the boys had a fantastic morning of hurling with some great hard fought games being played on a surprisingly warm and sunny morning at the top of the town.

A big thank you to all the teams that travelled to the club and to all the coaches that helped out on the day and to all the families who turned out to support the boys, it was much appreciated.

Well done to Lily Sue, Jenny, Lexi, Nathan, Altay, Sam, Jack , Eoin and Ciaran on completing their Young Whistlers Course during the week.

Thanks to Waterford GAA GDC David Robinson for delivering the course.

Best wishes to all involved and no doubt we look forward to seeing them in action at Juvenile blitzes soon.

Well done to our Under 8 girls who played their first blitz of the year during the week, brilliant stuff from them all. Huge thanks to Ballyduff Lower for the invite out and also to Butlerstown and Newtown/Ballydurn for great games.

Our two Under 12 teams took on Ferrybank also this week. Well done to all the girls and their coaches on great performances under very difficult conditions.

Cul Blues continues on Saturdays and we continue to have a great turnout, playground and Wild Willow on site , new players always welcome, please contact Michael Power.
