It might be early in the year but the County board are busy organising this year’s Senior Hurling Championship with the group draws being made last week, Sion were drawn in Group 2 and like last year our first two games are against Fourmilewater and Roanmore which are scheduled to take place in early May, the rest of the group consists of Passage, Lismore and Portlaw, keep an eye on social media and the website for when more details of the games become available.Congratulations
The stork was busy in Mount Sion this week with two new arrivals in the space of a few days, congratulations to Natalie and Paul Hammond on the birth of their new daughter and also to Amy O’Sullivan and Owen “Savo” Sauvage whose son Tadgh made his long awaited arrival at the weekend, Tadgh is the first grandchild on both sides of the family and there’s great excitement all round, congratulations to all our new parents and grandparents !Under 6’s and 7’s
The Under 6 and 7 training started up in the school on Saturday last and numbers are going very well, with such a good turnout we could use a few more coaches to help out, if anyone is interested please contact Eoin Fanning or Peter Walsh.Condolences
The club wishes to extend deepest sympathy to Derek Regan on the death of his father Paddy during the week, ar Dheis de go raibh a anam.
