Mount Sion GAA Club Notes
Senior Hurling Championship
Best wishes to the Seniors as they set out on another Championship campaign against Abbeyside on Sunday in Fraher Field, please note this is an all ticket game with tickets available on the Universe app, the game will also be streamed for those unable to attend, details towards the end of the week.
Minor Hurling
The Minors recorded their first win of the campaign on Wednesday last following thriller of a game which went down to the wire and was decided by a last gasp goal by Sion to deny Abbeyside in the club, this result was well deserved after the commitment and hard work shown throughout the game by the whole team, next up is another home tie this Wednesday against Lismore.
Junior B Hurling
The Junior B’s had a comfortable win in their first outing in this years’ Championship against Butlerstown at home on Thursday last, Sion’s blend of youth and experience proved too much for the men from just out the Cork Road and the result was never in doubt from an early stage, next game is against Ballygunner in early August and will have a big outcome on how the group is decided.
