Mount Sion Gaa Club Notes

Ladies Footballers

Last Sunday evening our Ladies Footballers were presented with their County Medals in the club. Also well done to Louise Sheridan who picked up Player of the Year. A well deserved reward for her performances all through the year. We also had a Most Improved Player award, well done to Jenny Coady.

Training continues every Thursday night at 7pm in the club. We are always looking for new players, so if you have a gra of the game, come along on Thursday night.

Under 12

Our Under 12 boys played at half time against Roanmore during the National Hurling League game of Waterford and Galway. Well done to all those who played.

Deise Draw

The 2013 Deise Draw kicks off this Friday night, 29^th March. Tickets will be available from Josie Evans or from the bar. Please contact Josie Evans (087-0686700) to join and more importantly to make sure you are in with a chance to scoop the top prize of €10,000!!! The top prize for July is a Nissan Micra, with many other cash and special prizes every month. Tickets are €10 per month for nine months. You can either pay up front or per month by leaving the money behind the bar. 70% of the money raised will go directly back to Mount Sion. Best of luck to all our ticketholders!

Fixtures

Under 16 Championship on Tuesday 2nd April v St. Patricks in St. Patricks at 7:00pm.

Junior Hurling Championship v Passage in Mount Sion at 6:30pm on Thursday 4th April.

Under 11 City League v Mooncoin in Mount Sion at 6:30pm on Friday 5th April.

Last Man Standing

Juvenile Training

The following are the times for our Juvenile team’s training on Saturday morning in the club. New comers are always welcome and hurley’s and helmets can be supplied. Ages and times below Age 5 & 6 – Boys (Born in 2008 and 2007) – 11 am to 12 noon Age 7 &  8 – Boys (Born in 2006 and 2005) – 12 noon to 1pm Age 9 & 10 – Boys (Born in 2004 and 2003) – 1pm to 2pm (note change of time for this group )

Membership

Membership for 2013 season is now due and the deadline of 31st March is soon approaching. The rates for 2013 are as follows: Hurling & Football Club: €50; Family €50; OAPs: €10. Please pay your membership at the bar or by seeing our Registrar Paul Fanning. http://mountsiongaa.ie/news/membership/

Darts & Cards

Darts and Cards for club members. Come along and join in the fun. Darts takes place every Thursday night with Cards on Friday nights, both starting around 10pm. Great prizes on offer!! All Club Members are welcome.
